12,000 BTU Concealed Duct ACiQ Mini-Split Air Handler

The ACiQ Platinum 12,000 BTU 25 SEER Single Zone Concealed Duct Mini Split System allows for flexible installation options with concealed duct air handlers that can be placed above the ceiling, below the floor, or behind a soffit without compromising wall or ceiling space. Run up to 4 flex ducts from the air handler to ceiling or wall registers for optimal cooling in up to two small bedrooms or a master suite.

The design is remarkably uncomplicated with return air entering from the back and cooled or heated air being emitted from the front by a near-silent squirrel cage fan. Either attach a pre-made manifold takeoff or create plenums using ductboard. The possibilities for customization are limitless using easy-to-find materials.

Installation Considerations

Concealed duct systems need careful pre-planning and are similar in size to traditional home HVAC installations. They are ideal for new construction projects or adding on to existing structures. To set it up, you'll need flex ducting, register vents, plenums, and installation supplies along with the main equipment. The Concealed Duct units come with an installed pump to remove condensation. You'll then use PVC to create a drainage system to direct wastewater to a safe location.
