The ACIQ-12ZPL-HP230B Condenser, when paired with a compatible 12,000 BTU air handler, offers sufficient capacity for small to medium-sized rooms. Equipped with a dual rotary compressor and variable inverter technology, this system achieves exceptionally high efficiency ratings.

It's important to note that this equipment model does not feature quick connect line set connectors and is not intended for DIY installation. Additional installation materials such as line sets, control wire, drain hose, whip, and disconnect are available for purchase in the Accessories section. Professional assistance is required for refrigerant replenishment and line vacuuming as needed. While the automated cleaning function helps maintain the system, it's advisable to manually clean the unit's filters periodically.

Extreme Heat Base Pan Heater Technology

Each ACiQ condenser is equipped with integrated Extreme Heat technology to optimize heat performance in extremely cold weather. The extended heat pump performance (HyperHeat) utilizes the power of inverter condenser with outdoor temperature sensing, variable refrigerant flow, and variable condenser fan speed to maximize heat extraction even in temperatures as low as -22 degrees. Additionally, every Extreme Heat ACiQ condenser features a base pan heater to prevent ice accumulation on the condenser coil during heat pump operation. Notably, ACiQ includes these technologies with every multizone condenser, whereas the competition requires additional payment for these features.

12,000 BTU Ceiling Cassette ACiQ Mini-Split Air Handler

Mini Split systems are a popular choice, but some customers may prefer not to have the air handler on their wall. ACiQ addresses this with the ACIQ-12CC-HH-MB ceiling cassette air handler, offering a more discreet appearance and centralized air distribution. These ceiling cassette air handlers deliver high-efficiency heating and cooling similar to a standard wall-mounted unit and come with a hand-held remote control. Once installed in the ceiling, only the grille is visible, providing a subtle and understated appearance.

Installation Considerations

Ceiling cassettes are designed to be flush-mounted, requiring the removal of sufficient ceiling material to create a cavity for the unit. These units are suitable for fitting between 24-inch on-center joists, but may require structural modifications to fit between 16-inch on-center joists. Additionally, ceiling cassettes come with factory-installed onboard pumps to lift the condensation produced during cooling, with the capability to lift the condensation up to 14 feet. A PVC drain system will need to be constructed to route the condensation to a suitable wastewater location. Refrigerant and wiring connections are the same as those for wall-mounted units.
