The safe is designed with fire and burglary protection in mind. It has a proven 60-minute fire rating at 1400º F, with a Palusol® heat-expanding door seal that expands to over 6x its size when subjected to heat, creating a barrier against heat and smoke. The UL® rated fireboard protection in the ceiling, walls, and door, along with the external solid steel strap hinges, provide full fire protection.

The safe is also UL® listed for burglary protection, RSC, and exceeds California DOJ requirements. The solid steel 12 ga. body is formed with robotic continuous welds, and the external strap hinges are solid steel. The drill-resistant, heat-treated steel hard plate and titanium disk provide added protection against break-ins. The auxiliary re-locker keeps the active boltwork locked in place when under attack, and the 18 1" solid steel locking bolts, including top/bottom locking bolts for added pry resistance, provide further security. The dead locking bolts on the hinge side of the door cannot be compromised in a burglary attack, and the recessed door and reinforced steel return jambs thwart pry attacks. The safe is also pre-drilled for anchoring to the floor to prevent tipping for pry leverage or removal of the safe by thieves.
