The Pentek 158117 filter housing has 1/4-inch NPT inlet/outlets. The Pentek 158117 slim design reduces space required for installation without sacrificing capacity. FDA Grade. The Pentek 158117 has a leak-proof seal with a top-seated o-ring. The housing has four bosses molded into the cap for mounting purposes. The Pentek 158117 Slim-Line filter housings are an excellent choice for low flow applications and when space and chemical compatibility are concerns. The filter housing is clear to allow for on-site examination of flow, performance, and cartridge flow. The Pentek 158117 is manufactured of clear, Styrene-Acrylonitrile (SAN). The sumps are stress relieved for added clarity and strength. The blue polypropylene caps have a pressure-relief button on the inlet side to relieve pressure inside the housing when changing filter cartridges. The water filter cartridge is not included with the housing. This allows you to purchase the best water filter for your water supply. The Pentek 158117 filter housing uses 10-inch L x 2.5-inch W water filters. Two number 10 Standard housings can be connected with a pipe nipple or pipe union. There are several pipe nipples available that can be used to connect two number 10 Standard Housings. Use the NP-14 pipe nipple to connect two number 10 Housings with 1/4-inch inlet/outlets.
