The 5 inch thick carbon is made for serious levels of absorption and with 28 lbs of carbon made to last.

It's rated to cover a maximum area of 1500 sq ft X 8 ft ceiling with 2 air exchanges per hour running on high. But recommended running in smaller areas as you will get reduced airflow with the thicker carbon.

This unit as a Super HEPA and Prefilter. This will remove air particulate down to 0.1 microns removing 99.99% of particulate from the air

the prefilter is easy to change with no tools needed and accessed at the bottom intake port

There is an optional UV light you can add to handle live pathogens. Like bacteria, mold and viruses. that is like running a 50 to 130 watt light bulb on low to high

The power consumption is low on the Allerair Airmedic Pro 5 Ultra Air Purifier. So not expensive to run. It uses 1 amps (on high), 3 amps with UV. Same as running a 100 watt light bulb.

The activated carbon blend comes in 2 types. EXEC blend for lighter and normal odor and VOC levels. Select the VoCarb blend to deal with heavier VOC, odors and difficult situations. It will absorb more efficiently..

You can choose from different colors to match your taste.
