Please Note: This model doesn't come with quick connect line set connectors and is not DIY-friendly. You'll need a pro for installation, as materials like line sets, control wire, drain hose, whip, and disconnect aren't included but can be found in the Accessories section. A professional will need to add refrigerant and vacuum the lines. The automated cleaning function helps maintain your system, but it's good practice to manually clean the filters periodically.

Extreme Heat Base Pan Heater Technology

Each ACiQ condenser comes with integrated Extreme Heat technology, designed to optimize heating in extreme cold weather. The extended heat pump performance (HyperHeat) uses an inverter condenser with outdoor temperature sensing, variable refrigerant flow, and variable condenser fan speed to extract heat even at -22 degrees. Plus, every Extreme Heat ACiQ condenser includes a base pan heater to prevent ice buildup on the condenser coil during heat pump operation. The best part? ACiQ includes these features in every multizone condenser, while the competition charges extra for them.

18,000 BTU Ceiling Cassette ACiQ Mini-Split Air Handler

Mini Split systems are great, but what if you don't want the air handler on your wall? ACiQ offers the ACIQ-18CC-HH-MB ceiling cassette air handler for customers who want a more hidden appearance and more centralized air distribution. Ceiling Cassette air handlers provide the same high-efficiency heating and cooling of a regular wall-mounted unit, and come with an included hand-held remote control. Once the ceiling cassette is mounted in the ceiling, only the grille is visible for the most understated appearance.

Installation Considerations

Ceiling Cassettes are flush-mounted, requiring enough ceiling material removal to create a cavity for the unit. These units fit between 24 on-center joists but are too large for 16 on-center joists without modifying your framing. Additionally, Ceiling Cassettes come with factory-installed, onboard pumps to lift condensation up to 14 feet. You'll need to construct a PVC drain system to route the condensation to a safe wastewater location. Refrigerant and wiring connections are the same as wall-mounted units.
