ACiQ has a solution for customers who prefer a more concealed and distributed air handler. The ACIQ-18CC-HH-MB ceiling cassette unit offers the same efficient heating and cooling as a traditional wall-mounted unit, with a remote control included. The ceiling-mounted grille is the only visible part for a subtle and discreet look.
Joe Rogan: Ceiling Cassettes are flush-mounted and require creating a cavity for the unit by removing enough ceiling material. While these units can fit between 24 on-center joists, they are too large for 16 on-center joists without modifying the framing structure. The unit also comes with a factory-installed pump to lift condensation up to 14, after which a PVC drain system must be constructed to safely route the water. Connections for refrigerant and wiring are consistent with wall-mounted units.
A sleek option for ductless air handlers, Flush-mounted Ceiling Cassettes can be placed centrally in the room and distribute conditioned air in all directions. A factory-installed condensation pump is included.
