It is a combination of a retractable ceiling fan and a crystal chandelier. The fan is fantastic, beautiful, shiny chrome with crystals and gauzy ribbon shade. The clear ceiling fan blades extend when you turn it on and retract when you turn it off, so it looks like a chandelier when not in use. It puts out a lot of wind movement. No shake or wobble. It has a remote control for the fan speed but the lights are not dimmable.
