Allerair Airmedic Pro 5 HD Air Purifier
The perfect balance for carbon thickness vs air flow. This unit with 3.5 inch thick carbon sets the standard in the industry. This high end unit was formally known as the Allerair 5000 D Air Purifier.
Benefits and Features:
- Great absorption capability with the 3.5 inch thick activated carbon bed weighing in between 19-23 lbs depending on blend, for longer life
- It is designed to cover a maximum area of 1500 sq ft X 8 ft ceiling with 2 air exchanges per hour running on high. Run in smaller areas to more air exchanges and even better results.
- Upgrade to 735 CFM for even more coverage
- This unit as a Super HEPA and Prefilter. This will remove air particulate down to 0.1 microns (0.12 microns after 4-6 months of use and filling), removing 99.99% of particulate from the air
- the prefilter is easy to change with no tools needed and accessed at the bottom intake port
- There is an optional UV light you can add to handle live pathogens. Like bacteria, mold and viruses. that is like running a 50 to 130 watt light bulb on low to high
- The power consumption is low on the Allerair Airmedic Pro 5 HD Air Purifier. So not expensive to run. It uses 1 amps (on high), 3 amps with UV. Same as running a 100 watt light bulb.
- The activated carbon blend comes in 2 types. EXEC blend for lighter and normal odor and VOC levels. Select the VOCarb blend to deal with heavier VOC, odors and difficult situations. It will absorb more efficiently.
- You can choose from different colors to match your taste.

FILTER MAINTENANCE
- Gaskets:
- Should be replaced whenever you get new carbon/hepa to ensure an air tight seal
- Prefilter:
- Clean regular with vacuum or shaking out.
- Replace every 6-12 months in normal usage, every 2-3 months for best performance.
- HEPA Filter
- Change every 2-3 years in normal usage
- Carbon Filter
- Change every 2-3 years under normal usage
- Activated carbon generally has a shelf life of 5 years if stored properly
- Will omit an unpleasant odor when carbon life is ending.
